Sacramento Immigration Attorney John Khoo was born and raised in Hong Kong. He first came to the U.S. to pursue his college education in 1968.
John earned a bachelor degree in engineer sciences and a master degree in Industrial engineering from Purdue University. As part of his Ph.D. program in UCLA, he took all the first year business classes in the MBA program. He started his career as a businessman, working in Indonesia and Nigeria for many years, primarily in the manufacturing sector. John had extensive business dealings with many companies in Europe and in Asia, and had firsthand knowledge of the running of a business in developing third world countries.
Attorney John Khoo immigrated to the U.S. in large part to have a stable home environment for his growing family. He began his legal profession in 1987, and has practiced in different areas of law for over 25 years.

His background presented a unique perspective in the practice of immigration law, because of his personal experience, and because of his understanding of this global economy. Sacramento Immigration Attorney John Khoo is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and Shanghainese. He has offered his services as an interpreter in many different legal proceedings. In addition to his legal practice, John advocated on behalf of immigrants and devotes himself to assist immigrants on issues relevant in their lives, by being involved in different community organizations. He now sits on the board of a nonprofit organization aimed to educate immigrants on their rights and responsibilities.
